What is the Dear Matchmaker Podcast All About?

The Dear Matchmaker Podcast is a podcast that is hosted by matchmaker and dating coach, Cat Cantrill. The podcast is all about the ins and outs of dating, relationships, and love. It’s all about answering your Matchmaking Questions!

If you could ask the matchmaker one question, what would it be?

In this podcast, Cat answers questions from listeners who are looking for advice on how to find love or how to improve their current relationship. She also shares her own personal experiences with love and relationships in order to help listeners understand what they should be looking for in a partner.

Examples of matchmaking questions:

Dear Matchmaker, I don’t know how to flirt. How can I tell if I am doing it right? -Flirtatious

Flirting is a skill that can be learned. It is not something that you are born with. Flirting is about being confident and having the ability to make someone feel good about themselves.

The first step in flirting is to be confident in yourself and your body language. You should always smile, make eye contact, and have a positive attitude. The next step is to find common ground with the person you are flirting with. This could be anything from talking about their favorite sports team or asking them what they do for work. The last step in flirting is to show interest in the other person by asking questions and listening intently when they answer them.

Dear Matchmaker, I live in a small town where there isn’t much to do. What are some good first date ideas? -Small Town Lover

A first date is a great opportunity to get to know someone and see if you want to pursue a relationship with them. It can be nerve-wracking, but it doesn’t have to be. Here are some ideas for what you can do on your first date:

– Go for coffee or tea at a local cafe or coffee shop.

– Go for a walk in the park and talk about your favorite things.

– Have dinner at a restaurant that has good food and ambiance.

– Go bowling together or play pool in the arcade room of the bowling alley.

Dear Matchmaker, I have been on a few dates with a few different people. I can never tell if we are falling in love. How long does it take to fall in love? How will I know if I am in love? -Bewildered in Baltimore

On average, it takes 6 months. Factors like age and proximity are very important as well. Six months is the duration in which a person can get to know their partner’s habits thoroughly enough and falls in love after they reach a degree of familiarity.

According to psychologists, six months is the time period in which you get to know your partner better and fall in love with them if you haven’t already done so. And if your partner reciprocates the same feeling, that means that he/she has also fallen for you after 6 months of dating.

Dear Matchmaker, I feel like whenever I get close to a woman, she tells me I am too nice. Do nice guys finish last? -Nice Nathan

It doesn’t matter how much a guy likes a woman – a “nice guy” will put more effort into making her feel good, while other men will show up with flowers and gifts.

Nice guys choose to act this way because it gets them farther in the relationship game than any other player on the playground can.

Women who prefer Bad Boys are often using it as a tactic to avoid falling in love. If a woman says you are too nice, don’t take it the wrong way. She is just telling you she isn’t ready to commit (or at least not with you) and is incapable of communicating that.

Dear Matchmaker, What am I doing wrong in dating? I can’t seem to find a good man. – Wrong Wendy

Believe it or not, this is a very tricky question to answer. The reason why it’s so hard to decipher the reasons behind someone not returning your interest is that everyone has different preferences and because people aren’t always honest when asked WHY they don’t want to date you.

However, it does point out that many of us might make common mistakes in dating. By avoiding these mistakes, we can work on our dating skills with more awareness to be better prepared for what lies ahead.
