The New Year is a time of reflection to reflect on the previous year and consider what changes you want to make in the coming months. Many people take this opportunity to create a list of New Year’s resolutions, a collection of goals they hope to achieve in the coming year. But while the idea of creating keys is well-intentioned, it can often be unhelpful and lead to feelings of failure and disappointment.
For this reason, many people are beginning to ditch the traditional New Year’s resolution and look for other ways to start the New Year right. Instead of focusing on what they want to accomplish, many people focus on self-care and building habits to help them achieve their goals throughout the year. Creating a self-care plan is one way to start the New Year right.
This involves setting aside time each week to do something that brings you joy and relaxation. This could include walking, spending time with friends and family, or reading a book. Another way to start the New Year right is to build habits to help you achieve your goals. This could include things like making a list of tasks each day.
